AR Glass Net (Scrim)

AR Scrim is a high-performance alkali-resistant (AR) glass fibre mesh designed to provide targeted tensile reinforcement in GFRC and other cementitious applications. Featuring a 10x10mm open grid, it is available in convenient roll sizes of 1m x 10m and 1m x 50m for versatility on projects of any scale.

Scrim is typically used to reinforce unsupported spans or cantilevered sections, where additional tensile strength is required. For best results, it should be positioned closest to the tension plane—on the bottom face for simple spans, and the top surface for cantilevered elements.

When used on visible surfaces, care must be taken to embed the scrim adequately to avoid “ghosting” through the face. Its flexible, open-weave structure allows for easy integration into complex forms, while its alkali-resistant composition ensures long-term durability within the concrete matrix.
