Surface Preparation

Surface preparation is a crucial first step to ensure optimal results. Concrete surface must be clean and free from dust, dirt and other particles. Ensure you concrete is completely dry, prior to sealing.

Application

Mixing Alpha X
1. Shake well prior to use
2. Measure out required Sealer. Replace lid on container immediately.

Primer Coat (if applicable)
Alpha X, can be diluted if required
– 4 Parts Alpha X : 1 Part Xylene

Application
3. Pour sealer mixture onto concrete or paint tray and use a nap roller to spread product.
4. Spread the sealer across concrete surface and move for approximately 1/2 – 1 minute. Do not let the mixture dry out. Take care with sides and angled surfaces as drips may stain.
5. Use a glove to wring excess mixture from roller and backroll to ensure even coverage. Be careful not to over backroll.
6. Allow to dry for 15-30 minutes.
Note: If streaking occurs, sand out prior to applying additional coats.
7. Repeat steps 3-6 twice
– Recommended 3 coats for optimum performance

Application Advice

If seeking high abrasion without colour enhancing Alpha X properties, consider applying a coat of Alpha Concrete Sealer as the primer coat.

Cautions

Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Avoid breathing dust, fume, gas, mist, vapour or spray. Wear overalls, safety shoes, impervious gloves and safety glasses. Use only in well ventilated areas. Wash hands after use. Keep containers closed when not in use. Keep out of reach of children.
