Domcrete’s premix range takes the guesswork out of batching. Each formula is a precision-engineered, pre-batched cementitious blend, developed specifically for GFRC, SCC, and ECC applications where consistency, finish quality, and structural performance are non-negotiable. Unlike commodity concrete premix, our Alpha GFRC & Alpha GFRC/SCC Premix are silica-free, formulated to work seamlessly with AR glass fibres and admixtures, and tested to perform in the hands of professional fabricators across Australia and New Zealand.
Whether you’re casting concrete benchtops, architectural panels, outdoor furniture, facades, or feature elements, there’s a formula in the range suited to your method and application. The Alpha GFRC Premix is engineered for spray-up and hand-pack face coats. The GFRC/SCC Premix is designed for self-consolidating pours. The ECC Premix delivers exceptional ductility for high-performance applications. All three are available in 20kg premix concrete bags, with bulk pallet quantities available for studios working at volume.
If you’re new to GFRC or looking to refine your mix design, our team is available to advise, or you can get hands-on at one of our training courses.
Standard premix concrete (also known as concrete premix) is formulated for bulk-poured structural applications. GFRC premix is a specialist formula engineered for thin-section, decorative, and architectural applications. It uses white cement, a range of raw materials selected for particle compaction, and is designed to work alongside AR glass fibres and admixtures, giving a higher-quality, lighter, and more workable result. Domcrete’s range offers silica-free options for extra safety during fabrication.
The GFRC premixtures offered have a complete base formula, but for optimal performance, many fabricators also add admixtures such as a plasticiser (water reducer), AR glass fibres and/or PVA Fibres. These enhance workability, tensile strength, and finish quality. Check out our full range of admixtures, glass fibres, and reinforcements.
The main difference between GFRC (Glass Fibre Reinforced Concrete) premix and ECC (Engineered Cementitious Composite) premix is the casting method rather than the end application. Both materials are suitable for architectural panels, benchtops, decorative elements, and other high-performance concrete projects.
GFRC and GFRC/SCC premixes are typically reverse cast, meaning the mix is poured face down against a mould to achieve a high-quality surface finish. ECC premix is designed to be cast right side up and finished by trowelling, making it particularly well suited to in situ casting applications where flexibility, crack control, and a hand-finished surface are important. Domcrete supplies both solutions through the Alpha range.
